Seemingly, I have had these two words confused all of my young and in my adult life. However, now I know the difference...the hard way.
It seems that only MEN have a pRostate...so, I don't have to worry about one for me. It's tough enough worrying about the men in my family.
All I know is that after google ran on my computer 24/7 for awhile, I am now informed and have a bit of knowledge under my belt. I am very glad I don't have a pRostate.
And, the best advise I can give is...make your men get checked at LEAST once a year...minimum. Be proactive. There is no room for procrastination when dealing with our bodies. Especially when there's grandchildren involved...and grandchildren forthcoming! OK, ok, our own kids are important. ( I'll probably hear about that comment!)
One will find out that so many people have dealt with this situation (pRostate cancer) in their own families. They are an excellent source of education and referrals.
Once again, life throws a curve ball...I thought I would get a "little" break after the last tragedy...NOT. Now, I choose how to deal with it.

All our thoughts and prayers are with your family! We love you!
Thanx, sweetie! We are going to Hawaii. After that, Uncle will have his "procedure". We talked to the Dr. last week and said it's slow growing and there is a 95% total recovery. Whew! xo
